LIB VA endorses Dr. Linda Deans for School Board - Broad Run District in Loudoun County


Ladies in Blue Virginia PAC is proud to endorse Dr. Linda Worrell Deans as she seeks for the first time the office of School Board for the Broad Run District in Loudoun County. We took the opportunity to review her history and speak with Dr. Deans. Connection with Zeta Dr. Linda Deans joined Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. by way of Gamma Gamma Chapter on the campus of North Carolina Central University in May 1969. She is currently involved with the Phi Upsilon Zeta chapter in Loudoun County. Academic Achievement Linda earned both Master of Arts degree in Counseling and a Ph.D. in Urban Services with a concentration in educational administration from Old Dominion University. Experience to Lead A retired educator from Hampton Public Schools, Linda has served in a variety of key educational positions, including classroom science teacher, dean of girls, counselor, assistant principal, and school-court liaison (deputy superintendent). She holds current licenses in teaching, supervision, administration, and a superintendent's license.


"Education has always been my true passion. I am excited about the opportunity to put my 52 years of educational experience and leadership to good use as a School Board member in service of the students and families of Loudoun County."


Priorities as School Board official Improve recruitment and hiring of faculty to ensure a well-rounded bench of educators; improve opportunities for marginal students to achieve their maximum potential; and reduce disparate suspension rates.


Budget Priorities

Competitive teacher salaries are a top investment priority in order to provide a strong educational experience that will prepare our students for bright futures ahead.


Dr. Deans faces an opponent in this November's general election. Loudoun County residents - your vote matters!
